Sourcing Parts In The UK

HI all,
I’m really interested in building the sequencer but I can’t find a company in the uk to order parts for the build. There’s obviously Mouser, but that’s US based, but I was hoping to find something closer to home? Are there any guys and gals out there that have built a Midibox and obtained parts in the UK or EU? Thanks for your help.

Klivie Hi Klivie, welcome to the forums!

Quite a few users have built SEQ v4+ (and even MatriCes 🙂) in the U.K., but i think most reverted to Mouser, as it comes with free shipping and i think with fully paid VAT/Tax duty for the U.K.. On the other hand, the SEQ v4+ uses many standard parts like resistors, connectors or the large 1206 SMT parts like shift registers, that you should be able to source from any U.K. based parts distributor, it’s potentially just a bit more work finding everything.

Klivie I got parts from mouser and RS (in the UK). Dont worry about ordering from mouser - I order really frequently from them and they almost always arrive before RS with their “next day” delivery ! Mouser also handle the vat and import duties….. (For other stuff I’ve used Farnell frequently as well but for the SEQ v4+ just use mouser for anything they have in stock)
