Seq V4+ Mixer volume Isue

Hi,

I’ve set a mixer map to out 1 for channel 1-8 of my tx81z.
I’ve tried to set the volume control for each channel but without success?

anonyme-x22 that should work without problems, also all other commands like program changes will work. Make sure you’re sending to the correct MIDI port (1-8), potentially use a MIDI packet sniffer (i.e. MIDI-OX on windows) that checks the output.

Hi,

I can send program change, the mixer is set to out 1 with track 1 to 8, note pc are working, just the volume, and i noticed that with the arturia keyboard connected thought midi in1 with out to midi 1 the slider for track 1 volume (CC7 Ch1) is working???, unfortunately as the seq v4+, does not seems have omni, the other slider which send to ch2 etc aren’t working, very strange behavior. If someone has an idea i could use the arturia for volume, however that does not explain why the mixer volume on the seq don’t work.

Hi,

I have news, in fact the volume slider fro arturia was controlling the cubase mixer cc112 mapped not cc7.
Unfortunately i was only working for CH1.
However did a routing from in1 all to out1 all, it’s seems that all cubase control are working back trought the seq now, however don’t know the impact of this.

So via cubase controlling cc7 via cc112 remote on my arturia i can now set the volume for the 16 midi track.

However still impossible to use the built in seq mixer to control volume of the tx 81z which react to CC7, just verified, but that’s logic because cubase midi mixer send cc7 for volume. i have set out 1 for channel 1 to 8, but going to the volume part of the mixer nothing work.

Hi,

Nope dead end also as now note trigger always the first channel and the selected one in the seq.
Will try to use the 16 router node to map each in channel to each out channel…

Also Dead end, the conclusion is that this device cannot be integrated easily in a complex setup due to filtering of channel cc and ??? when a track is selected. Routing can bypass the filtering but produce unwanted result on note.
A complex solution could be to use a midi thru box which duplicate the main keyboard out one to the computer and one to the seq, in order to have note on the seq, but not sure if we can block seq in1 to midi out.

Seems that this device is made for standalone use.
if someone has other idea….
