Thanks for checking! I just revisited the BOM parts late last night and I think those are reflected in your list above?

All in all, the replacements should generally work but I have not tested anything and can’t offer any guarantees. I didn’t find replacements for IDC headers or pin headers. Shrouded headers can always be replaced by breakaway strips.

The trimmer pot is not used for OLED displays, so I decided to list it as DNF.

757-TBD62083AFWGEL would potentially replace the TBD62381 driver chip and is due to be restocked at the end of July. Otherwise, just consider having no activity matrix for the time being. Or if you are desparate, maybe it would work to bridge across the pads and have no sink driver. Pads 9/10 are the power supply and shouldn’t be bridged, but otherwise 1->18, 2->17 etc.

Have fun building!

@Eggi as an update for the LoopA/OLED situation - we’ve decided to stock and include the OLEDs in the LoopA kits from now on - the discontinuation on Mouser fortunately happened while we were sold out of LoopA kits. Thanks a lot for notifying us about that change!

To solve the problem, current LoopA kits will now come with the OLED included, very similar to the SEQ v4+ kits, which also include the required OLEDs.

    Best regards.

    Hi all,
I’d have another small question regarding alternative parts, this time for the SEQ v4:

As a replacement for mousers 660-MF1/4DCT52R1002F (Metal Film Resistors - Through Hole 10Kohms 1% 100PPM ) I ordered LR0204F10K, also 10Kohms, 1%, 100PPM, 1/4W, but I noticed there is a difference in voltage rating (250V vs 200V). Am I correct in assuming that this will not make a difference, since the SEQ is running on 5V anyways?

You could consider ordering 798-MDF710S254DSA56 and just offset the row/remove 2x pins so it still sits flat. Or cut it down, but that might look a bit messy!

Elsewise seems to be available at the end of October.

Dremel for the win 🙂 - as Andy wrote, the good thing with headers is, that you can always shorten them.
        Many greets,
        Peter

thanks! that are good news! i will go for the shortening thing.

Hi all! after taking a little detour and using another sequencer for a while I’ve decided on the midiphy Seq v4+ and am very excited to get stuck into the build.

Was looking at the BOM and it looks like I can source everything except the 6 x BC817-25LT1G. Any suggestions on an possible alternative?

Hello, a Mouser parametric search gives the following components with similar specs:

Mouser Part Number Mfr Part Number Mfr.
              241-BC817-25R100001 BC817-25_R1_00001	Panjit
              863-BCW65ALT1G BCW65ALT1G onsemi
              863-BCW65CLT1G BCW65CLT1G onsemi
              863-BCW66GLT1G BCW66GLT1G onsemi
              621-BC817-25Q-7-F BC817-25Q-7-F Diodes Incorporated
              522-FMMT455TA FMMT455TA Diodes Incorporated

Of those, the most familiar manufacturer is OnSemi or Diodes Inc, so I would suggest to try one of those.

              Have fun!

I think 595-MC3487NE4 also works at Mouser, no?

Is there a difference between 517-N2516-6002RB and 517-N2516-517-D2516-6V0C-AR-WE 16pin sockets? Both are one piece on the bom list.

For my MatriX: Mouser announced the Bourns Slide Potentiometers (PTL30-15R0-103B1) not before August 2022. As well as the red 8-pin sockets (7-215079-8) are not available.
Has someone an idea where I could get them from, instead?
