To update to a new version:
a) make sure you have a stable power supply - a stable 500mA/5V via your USB port are required for the update - if you’re using a laptop, plug in the PSU - if it does not work, try from a different computer, e.g. a desktop PC.
b) make sure you use a high-quality USB cable - i’ve seen updates fail because of this
c) as a trick under windows, press “Query” a few times in MIOS studio, to get some responses back from the MIOS core. You can also type in “help” in the command line to trigger some response from the core. This is a MIDI USB bug in windows: sometimes before the firmware upload a data flow back from the core is required. Then directly after pressing “query” a few times press the “Upload” button. There’s a good chance it will work then. After the upload is complete you can ignore any errors shown in MIOS studio - your LoopA should reboot automatically and you should be upgraded to v2.10. You might need to power it off and on again for the display to reinitialize properly, but wait until the upload progress is reported as complete.
Enjoy and best regards,
Peter
