Is there a way to record steps with increments that are not 4/4 i would like to record some classic grove chords that on a normal step sequencer would be on the 1, 4, 7 and then back to 9, 12, 15 so there a three notes in one 4/4. My timing still isnt quite good enough for the auto record mode

check out this tutorial chapter:

It explains how you can move your recording cursor around (i.e. from step 1 to 4 to 7) and how you can change the default note length. Note that you can also configure a different time signature than 4/4 on the tempo screen.

Pushing and turning the Select Button just changes the Track 1A to 2A and so in…what am I doing wrong?

I want to record in step mode with an external midi keyboard, but i cant Change the position of rhe step.

Is there a special screen Page necessary for this to work or a setting?

I now found it myself, funny issue:

It had a mechanical reason…the push of the button was not ‘deep’ enough to work.
So the encoder just recognized the turning and so the expected behaviour is to switch tracks.

Me again.
Would it be possible to move the cursor in step mode optionally without pressing and holding the encoder?

In my case I just started using the LoopA and “type” in every note, quite similar to the workflow with my MidiboxSEQ.
Unfortunately my case, the heights of the pcbs and the encoder don’t fit nicely. Therefore I often switch tracks accidently just when I like to forward position in step mode.

My “dirty” workaround planned would be:

I’ll try to solder just another bridge cable to the encoder, so that the software assumes the encoder button beeing pressed, but for a long term solution a setup parameter would be quite handy, if other users also care about the issue.

What do you think?

Is your knob bottoming out against the case before the encoder switch registers a press? If so, pull the knob off, cut a small piece of card stock or similar and drop it into the knob, then put the knob back on the encoder shaft. It will slightly increase the gap between the knob and the case and allow the press to go deeper.
