I’ve recently jumped back into using my Loopa intensively, and I’ve noticed something when trying to cue tracks with a midi controller in song mode. Let’s say I’m on pattern #1 and I’ve cued next pattern using an external midi controller. The next pattern that will play will be pattern #3. I assume this is by design because the song will normally play pattern #2, so why not jump to the next one with the external controller.
That being said, when using the cue previous track cc command, the Loopa will also skip two tracks. So if I’m on track #3 and I cue previous pattern, it’ll jump to track #1. This makes the jumping around pattern process a little difficult. As well if you tap the cc command multiple times, the song mode will jump that amount of taps times 2. So if I’m on an odd numbered pattern, there is no way for me to get to an even numbered track only using the cue commands.
I wonder if this is a bug that I’m only experiencing with the CC controls. I’ve yet to try this with an external footswitch, so I don’t know if the issue tracks. I almost wonder if it would be better to just have the cues jump you one track at a time for both previous and next. This way for instance, if you have a track that has a jump engaged to an earlier track, you can bypass it if you want just by hitting the next track cue. And if you truly want to skip the next track, you’ll just tap the next pattern cue twice.
As always, I appreciate the support and innovation from y’all. Thanks,
Sam
