SuperDAC soldering complications

Hello Midiphy team,

i have some issues soldering the MAX5500 at the moment, i have several solder-bridges/shorts between pins. Some i cann see and some i only find by measuring with a multimeter between two pins.
I knwo that some of the pins are connected by design. But i do not know all of them 😉
So could you please share which pins of the IC are connected by the PCB design?
This could save me a good amount of time in troubleshooting.

Hello,

The common pins on the 5500 ICs are
2,3
4,5
16,17
18,19

This is also indicated in the silkscreen of the newer PCBs, but of course underneath the DAC 😀.

If you have some decent solder braid and flux, you should be able to unbridge them no problem!

Hi Guys,
thanks a lot for the information!
One looks good so far, one does not 🙁 Seems like i had to much of a shift in the pin alignment…
I will try to desolder it completely and start again.
