after some time fiddling around with my new LoopA, I wanted to integrate it in my current setup. I have all my synths (5 right now) routed through a MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV where also all MIDI paths are routed to my interface to use VSTs from time to time. Each synth has their own channel. That allows me to always just play without my pc running and to quickly change between different MIDI routings.
Now I wanted to integrate my LoopA in that setup by just routing all MIDI inputs and outputs from my synths to OUT1 and IN1 of my loopa. Recording and catching the incoming signal works fine but as soon as I hit Run both the MOTU and LoopA crashes (LoopA is sometimes not responding at all or the Run button just doesn’t work) I always have to restart the LoopA (and panic the MOTU) to get it running again. Also the whole MIDI chain in general gets a bit unreliable, stuck notes, etc.
The LoopA seems to have some issues with the signal coming from the MOTU because as soon as I only plug in my master keyboard to the IN1 and OUT1 to the MOTU everything works great. Downside is that cannot catch the CC inputs from my synths anymore.
I know its a quite confusing and specific problem, but maybe someone has the same ore a similar one? I can also draw down the whole setup and signal path if that helps.
