Firebergmusic Thanks for your interest in LoopA! The kits will be back in stock tomorrow, too 🙂.
When syncing to an external MIDI clock, then LoopA waits for a MIDI clock “start” packet (a single-byte hex 0xFA MIDI packet) to arrive from an upstream sequencer - at that precise moment, LoopA starts recording, if you wish to do so, you could then post-quantize the recorded notes, if they are not perfect (but often the “human touch” sounds good). Personally, i’m using external MIDI clock sync quite often when using the midiphy SEQ v4+ as the master clock sequencer, to record some “unquantized/human” note lines on top of some existing SEQ v4+ step sequences.
Best regards and have a good weekend,
Peter
